Hello and welcome! This is DragonGrok, a place for discussing the subtle art of storytelling through various media, filtered through my own unique perspective.

Reviews: One of the best ways to learn more about storytelling is to observe others and learn from their example; whether it’s a good example or a matter of learning what not to do is another matter entirely. On this site, I will regularly review books, movies, and video games on their own merit and on the strength of their stories, either to point out and praise works of quality and recommend them to you, or to amuse you in my criticism of works that miss their mark.
Essays: Every now and then inspiration of a more academic bent will strike, and I will share my analysis.
Writings: I am working as a writer, and regularly produce poetry and short stories. Those that I deem to be of sufficient quality will be posted from time to time here for your enjoyment.
Ramblings: Unfortunately, I’m not always going to have something that well thought-out or interesting to say, but sometimes this serves as no deterrent to rambling on about one thing or another. Idle conversation, after all, is often a road to interesting discussion.
